Type Locality and Naming

Along the Akdach stream, Prishashkent Chuli. G.A. Belenky, 1966 (96, p.101). Stratotype on the right bank of the Akdach stream, 15 km west of the village of Sharaphana.

Synonym: Akdachinskaya Suite, Акдачинская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Red-colored sandstones, sands, gravelites, conglomerates with layers of siltstone (aleurolites) and clays. Thickness 20-240m.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Lies with erosion on the Kyzylatin Fm and transgressively on the Paleozoic

Upper contact

With erosion it is overlain by the Dzhamsugum Fm

Regional extent

Prishashkent Chuli, foothills of the Chatkal and Karzhantau ranges, in the Tashkent depression, revealed by drilling. It is correlated with the Tokubay Fm of Fergana

Contains freshwater bivalve mollusks - Plicatotrigonioides cf. ferganensis Mart., Pl. aff. simakovi Mart.


Age 

It belongs to the upper Albian + Middle Cenomanian, Along A., - to the Cenomanian; Along "Resolution....,1977" (383) - to the Upper Albian + Upper Cenomanian; in Str. sl. (446) - to the Albian-Cenomanian; (452) - to the Albian-Middle Cenomanian.
